OUR PHILOSOPHY

Psychological Resilience

Mental health problems in children and young people have increased significantly in the last decade. Today more than ever mental health is a necessity for all people in order to enjoy a quality life.

Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems or workplace and financial stressors. It means “bouncing back” from difficult experiences. Resilience is not a trait that people either have or do not have. It involves behaviors, thoughts and actions that can be learned and developed in anyone.

Psychological resilience is a key “tool” for achieving a good quality of life. We recognize how important it is for everyone and our goal is to develop it through life skills training.

We believe that in an increasingly knowledge-based society, exclusion from education will be translated into growing poverty, inequality, and deprivation.

Through the life skills training we achieve to lend a meaningful education to society

Education

Education is life itself and as a basic human right it applies to all people and especially to children to have a better quality of life.

Children

Children as citizens of the future must build emotional and mental resilience, social and communication skills, moral values, knowledge and experiences in order to have a different and open perception of life itself.

Through the educational process and the implementation of experiential-communication policies, we aim to bring out the daily needs and concerns of children.

Our programs aim to empower and inform children so that they can face difficult situations in the future and can protect themselves.

The individuals live, develop life skills, and socialize in a lifelong learning process into the societies. A society of psychologically resilient people is a society that can achieve anything.

Society

Societies must be characterized by equality of rights and privileges, economic and social development, active citizens and a high level of sustainable development.

Openous NGO aims to build communities of psychological resilient children and youth through innovative educational programs.
